What is the Showcase?
The aim of the showcase is to demonstrate all the positive contributions which hill farming communities make to modern life. It covers everything from food stalls to cookery demonstrations, rural art and craft stands to a chance to "meet the workers" through a show of farm animals and activities.
The Showcase will delight and entertain - and in entertainment, it also aims to educate.
Food & Farming for REAL at the Kilnsey Show in the Yorkshire Dales.
The first Showcase was at Kilnsey Show on Tuesday 28th August 2007.
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Kilnsey Crag, the event was well supported despite restrictions brought about by the foot and mouth outbreak.

The event was officially opened by the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire who gave their full support to the event and to Food and Farming for REAL.

- "Harvesting the Sun" ably demonstrated the importance of farm animals.
- A "Celebration of Arts in the Hill Farming Community" was displayed in the arts and culture marquee.
